The Department of Mathematical Physics and Astronomy is responsible for lectures on theoretical physics, mechanics and astronomy, and is engaged in fundamental research on elementary particle physics, quantum field theory and quantum computing, differential geometric structures in mechanics, internal galactic dynamics and space plasma physics.
